About the event
Dues paying members are welcome to join us for an HCGMS members on a dig to the Sheffield Gem Mine. This field trip does not require a prepaid payment as the mine offers a variety of dig options ranging for my a budgets. You will pay open arrival.
If you wish to carpool you can meet James at the Wendy's located at: 1500 Four Seasons Blvd in Hendersonville. Others can meet directly at the mine. Mine opens at 10 am and dig can go until 5pm. You are welcome to come and go as you please. If you plan to attend please RSVP online.
What makes our mine so special is the presence of star rubies and sapphires. Keep in mind that star rubies are only found in Cowee Valley and Burma, India.
