
Metal Clay Fine Silver Jewelry Class

In this two day class students will explore the unique properties of Fine Silver (.999) metal clay and create a pair of earrings OR a pendant. Attendees will learn basic skills of roling, texturing, use of molds, cutting, and refining the clay to prepare for firing.

Instructor: Susan Brooks
Location: HCGMS Workshop located via the BLUE DOOR on the street side of the Mineral & Lapidary Museum.
Supplies and materials are all provided by the instructor and included in the cost of the class. Day 1 will consist of each person designing their pair of earrings OR pendant and using the provided materials and equipment to get their piece ready to be "fired." After the first day the instructor will take the projects home to be "fired" so that Day 2 can have a successful start. On Day 2 of class the students will finish their pieces by learning to polish and add optional color components if they choose.
Cost $120 + $5 Workshop Fee
Please note the cost of the workshop compensates the instructors time as well as covers all materials and tools for the class. Students need not bring any items from home. T…
